Moving Day
“Well it seems like you and I will be the perfect tag team,” she grinned, nibbling on her toast. Where she might have lacked in the physical strength department, she excelled in organization. All her stuff was packed away by what room they belonged into, all labeled much like the way her fathers organized all her shrines and trinkets from her childhood. That was where she probably picked up the trait to begin with.
“I guess once we get you all packed up here and into the truck, you can bring the stuff up to the new apartment and I’ll just start unpacking everything. Save you from as much unpacking as I can. And then I’ll be able to put everything away to my liking.” So far that was going to be their biggest challenge; finding that happy medium. Sure, it was easy for her to compromise, especially with Finn, but living together was a big step. She hadn’t had more than a sleepover with him and now she was going to be co-habitating. She hoped it only strengthed them and not the opposite.
“Definitely,” he agreed as he finished up his cereal and pushed it away to the center of the table. They’re always a great team when they have the same goal in mind, as well as the same motivations to achieving that goal. He wasn’t really stressed or worried about this move. Because really, as long as they can get all of the boxes upstairs, and at least a blow up mattress, then they’re all set.
Taking the paper bowl over to the trash can, he disposed of it before turning to Rachel. He was more then ready for the move. “I only had a few boxes of things left in my room, and everything else here is my roommates.” He sure was going to miss his friend as well, whom he said goodbye to last night. They’d been close and Finn probably considered him his best friend (well, second to Rachel). “They’re all over by the door,” he pointed towards where he had a stack of boxes aligned against the wall.
